Their work helps speed up the software development process by catching issues early and ensuring consistent product quality, even when collaborating with distributed teams. Remote QA Automation Engineers often collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders using communication and project management tools.

What does a remote QA automation engineer do?

As a remote QA automation engineer, you help develop software to test, debug, and troubleshoot issues with a product. In this role, you may design and build test automation frameworks, coordinate with designers to gather more information about products, create testing kits, create in-depth bug reports, and participate in root cause analysis work. Remote QA automation engineers often work from home and may use email, telephone, or voice chat to contact and coordinate with other employees, and may also use virtual office software to coordinate with larger groups.
