Job description

Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Purchasing & Regulatory Analyst will provide analysis and oversight to ensure the process of day to day operations of the systems of contracting, procurement, receiving and storage of all pharmaceutical products for departmental function. The analyst must ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including 340B regulations for all 340B facilities. The role evaluates and monitors medication management strategies and therapeutic interchanges and provides recommendations to the purchasing team regarding purchasing opportunities and 340B issues. Key elements of success in this role include but are not limited to: A strong working knowledge of the hospital, wholesaler and vendor systems; the ability to interact with numerous departments (finance, accounts payable, revenue integrity, and others) to ensure that drug pricing and revenue is appropriate and accurate; interactions with GPO, DEA, OPA, CMS, JCAHO; coNSiteable knowledge of computers, 3rd party payors, cost data, etc. required to support and verify the accuracy of the pharmacy CDM.

Qualifications
Required:
  • One year in pharmaceutical supply chain purchasing, medical supply chain purchasing, regulatory compliance, healthcare finance or accounting
  • Bachelor Degree

Desired:
  • Five years experience in implementing and monitoring regulatory standards for drug purchasing with 340B regulation and compliance.
