Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for a flexible and comfortable work setting. However, our services are directed towards school environments, meaning close collaboration with educational professionals and families is essential. The role requires adaptability to work within various educational contexts, supporting children with disabilities to navigate their developmental milestones and enhance their learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify areas of need and develop personalized support plans.
• Participate effectively in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) development process, ensuring that each child’s unique circumstances are considered.
• Monitor and document progress and outcomes, contributing data and feedback as a collaborative team member dedicated to continuous improvement.
• Provide support to families by offering guidance and resources that empower them to foster their child’s development effectively.
• Utilize a coaching model and natural environment teaching techniques, ensuring that interventions occur in contexts familiar and comfortable to the child.
• Continuously comply with all Federal and State regulations, upholding the highest standards of care and safety for both clients and staff.
• Develop a rapport with children and families to promote trust and a healthy learning environment crucial for therapeutic success.
• Adapt interventions and strategies based on individual learning styles and family dynamics, employing evidence-based practices to yield the best outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with infants and toddlers who experience developmental delays or disabilities. Our focus is on early intervention, helping children acquire essential skills during the critical first three years of life across physical, cognitive, social/emotional, and communication domains. By working closely with families, we aim to create a supportive network that fosters healthy development and learning.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work or a Doctorate in Social Work is required.
• Must be licensed by the Department of Public Health with an LCSW designation.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary for travel to various locations as required by service provision.
• Potential candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to the principles of Natural Learning Environment Practices.
• Proficiency in adapting to diverse learning styles to meet the needs of children and their individualized treatment plans.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases effectively.
• Strong communication skills are essential for collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience working in early intervention services with children is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
