Join our team as a dynamic AI Governance Specialist and take the lead in crafting and executing comprehensive AI governance frameworks. In this crucial role, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of AI initiatives and successes at Blackbaud and be responsible for ensuring they align with the latest legal and ethical standards. You'll spearhead the cross-team and cross-functional training programs and resources that empower our global workforce to responsibly innovate, adopt, and leverage AI solutions.

We are looking for a seasoned and inspired leader in the AI space, who is ready to embrace the challenge and make a meaningful impact with us! Responsibilities Lead the development (research/ compliance based), design, and implementation of AI governance frameworks in collaboration with stakeholders to ensure ethical, transparent, successful, and compliant use of AI/ML technologies. Manage on-going collaboration with legal, compliance, and technical teams to establish AI policies and controls, addressing risks such as bias, privacy, and security.

Develop and conduct training programs and resources on AI governance and compliance for internal and external stakeholders. Develop informed auditing schedules and perform regular audits and assessments of AI systems to ensure conformity with governance and regulatory standards. Monitor regulatory trends, update governance policies, engage with stakeholders, and report on project progress and strategic alignment.

Assess and address the evolving AI needs at Blackbaud Required Qualifications Expertise in Computer Science or Information Technology with a focus on: AI/ML systems, Law with specialization in Technology Law or Digital Rights, Ethics or Philosophy with focus on Technology Ethics, Public Policy with concentration in Technology Policy. 4+ years in a high agency/ leadership role where there was a focus on AI/ Machine Learning, and leveraging aligned resources towards appropriate stakeholders Strong and evolving knowledge of AI ethics, regulatory requirements (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, etc.), and industry best practices for responsible AI use. Multiyear expertise leveraging Data & AI Governance platforms (e.g., OneTrust, Informatica, BigID) Proven experience in conceptualizing, designing, implementing, and evolving governance frameworks, preferably in the context of AI or other advanced technologies.

Comfort and experience with risk management, legal, and compliance frameworks. Exceptional understanding of how to use and leverage Generative AI and Large Language Models. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.

Demonstratable experience managing cross functional projects with 10 or more project members (AI or other advanced technologies focus preferred ) Strong analytical skills to identify, assess, and address risks associated with AI systems. Preferred Certifications Include: Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified AI Ethics Professional, Project Management Professional (PMP),Governance, Risk and Compliance certifications Number Of Openings Available 1 The starting base pay is $117,200.00 to $157,500.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
