Position Summary
This position supports advanced laboratory research activities with a primary focus on next-generation sequencing (NGS) for the identification and characterization of viral and bacterial pathogens, independently performing complex laboratory procedures, including sample preparation, sequencing library construction, and operation of sequencing instrumentation. The position contributes to method development and optimization, performs preliminary data review, and supports implementation of new laboratory workflow that include maintaining laboratory operations, assisting with regulatory compliance and biosafety practices, managing laboratory inventory, and training new laboratory personnel. This role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to apply technical judgment in the execution of laboratory protocols.
