Radiant Spirit Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This position offers a full-time remote work setting, providing the flexibility to manage your schedule while maintaining a close connection with clients through virtual platforms. Our outpatient office facilitates a structured framework for therapy, allowing mental health professionals to focus on their practice without the disruptions often found in traditional healthcare environments. You will have access to advanced electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, ensuring streamlined documentation and patient tracking.

• Conduct initial consultations and detailed mental health evaluations, creating comprehensive documentation from the first encounter through the conclusion of treatment.
• Develop individualized and group recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, families, and couples, ensuring adherence to therapeutic goals.
• Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions and dynamic group therapy workshops focused on various mental health concerns.
• Monitor and assess client progress over the course of treatment, making necessary adjustments to intervention plans as needed.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.
• Communicate effectively with clients’ referring healthcare providers and follow up on their care, especially for clients transitioning in and out of hospital settings.
• Identify obstacles to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate behaviors that may hinder the therapeutic process.
• Provide psychoeducation and support to family members and caregivers to enhance their understanding of mental health challenges and coping strategies.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure in California as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW is mandatory.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.
• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling is essential, with an emphasis on client-centered care.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, is advantageous.
• A working knowledge of various emotional and physical health conditions, including addiction disorders, is preferred.
• Understanding of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a naturally supportive demeanor.

• Previous roles within a collaborative healthcare environment can enhance your ability to work effectively with other professionals.
• Advanced understanding of the medications prescribed in mental health treatment, including their psychological and physiological impacts.

The compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, with a sign-on bonus offered to successful candidates.
