Account Manager - Equipment Finance
Altius Search Group is recruiting for an Account Manager position for one of our clients in the equipment finance industry. This organization is a direct lender and a U.S.-based subsidiary of a publicly traded financial services company. They provide equipment loans and leases to small and mid-sized businesses nationwide and are known for crafting flexible financing structures that consistently outperform industry approval averages.

This is a high-visibility opportunity for a relationship-focused "hunter" who enjoys building business in a fast-paced environment. You'll be trusted to grow a regional territory by developing new relationships and expanding existing accounts across multiple equipment verticals.
Position Overview
As an Account Manager, you will own direct sales activity with major accounts in your assigned region. You'll develop new relationships, nurture existing ones, and become a trusted partner to end-users, vendors, and manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business with end-users, vendors, manufacturers, and channel partners (approximately 50% new business development)
  • Manage and expand a portfolio of key accounts within a defined regional territory
  • Meet with customers to structure financing opportunities and deliver tailored solutions
  • Promote financing programs and support existing channel/vendor relationships
  • Prospect through public forums, industry sources, and outbound outreach to establish new relationships
  • Deliver remote and onsite training presentations to customers and partners
  • Monitor competitive lease rates and recommend strategies to stay ahead in the market
  • Travel 20-30% as needed for customer meetings, trainings, and relationship development

Requirements
  • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Experience:
    • Account Manager: 1-2 years of equipment finance sales experience
    • Regional Account Manager: 5-7 years of sales experience in the equipment finance industry
  • Financial services/equipment finance/leasing experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with CRM software and pipeline discipline
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
