Job description

District Manager - Remote Technicians (RT)
Location: Hybrid - Based out of Carrollton, TX (Requires Interstate Travel)
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Position Overview
Asurion is seeking a dynamic, high-energy District Manager to lead our Remote Technician (RT) program. Unlike a traditional retail environment, this leader will oversee a distributed workforce of mobile technicians who provide on-site tech repair and support directly to customers using company-provided vehicles.
Based out of our Carrollton Corporate Office, you will serve as the strategic lead for a multi-state territory. This role requires a leader who excels in remote management, logistics, and field operations, ensuring that our "store on wheels" maintains the highest standards of operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
  • Field Leadership: Lead and oversee a team of Remote Technicians across multiple states, ensuring peak performance in a mobile, non-traditional environment.
  • Operational Excellence: Monitor fleet health, fleet supervision, vehicle safety compliance, and inventory management for all mobile units within the district.
  • Drive Profitability: Manage the district P&L, optimize labor costs, monitor fuel/maintenance expenses, and calculate monthly performance-based bonuses.
  • Performance Coaching: Conduct virtual and in-person bimonthly sales meetings. Travel to various RT locations to perform "ride-alongs," providing real-time coaching on technical skills and customer interactions.
  • The Asurion Way: Reinforce the Serve, Solve (Resolve), and Sell approach, ensuring technicians are not just repairing devices but also providing "Connected Home" solutions to every customer.
  • Strategic Staffing: Maintain proactive recruitment and onboarding practices to ensure all mobile territories are fully staffed and technicians are road-ready.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use field service metrics (Arrival Windows, First-Time-Fix rates, and NPS) to identify trends and execute action plans.
  • Executive Reporting: Conduct quarterly business reviews with senior leadership to report on the health and growth of the Remote Technician program.

Work Environment & Schedule
  • Hybrid Model: A blend of office-based strategic planning in Carrollton, TX, and field-based leadership.
  • Extensive Travel: This role requires frequent interstate travel to visit Remote Technicians in their assigned territories.
  • Schedule: Typically Monday-Friday; however, flexibility is required to support a mobile workforce that may operate on weekends or evenings.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Pay: $60,000 - $70,000 annually.
  • Incentive Structure: Monthly district performance bonuses and annual incentives.
  • Total Compensation Potential: $90,000 - $100,000+ per year.
  • Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Perks: Paid time off (PTO), company laptop/cell phone, and ongoing leadership development training.

What You'll Bring
  • Field Operations Experience: Proven experience managing a mobile or distributed workforce (e.g., logistics, home services, or field tech industries).
  • Business Acumen: Ability to manage a complex P&L across multiple states and disparate locations.
  • Logistical Prowess: Familiarity with fleet management, safety protocols, and territory optimization.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional ability to build culture and maintain high morale among employees who do not work in a traditional office/store setting.
  • Adaptability: The ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced, high-growth "Remote" environment.
  • Requirements: Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record, as travel is a core component of this role.
