The Project Manager (Lighting) position will encompass all aspects of design-build project management. This includes financial controls, material procurement, subcontractor management, risk mitigation and safety policy implementation for comprehensive lighting projects. The Project Manager will work alongside the project development team. The Project Manager must provide leadership, guidance and hands-on participation to ensure all project implementation activity is completed in adherence to customer expectations and Centrica Business Solutions’ quality standards. The position must also ensure that all projects are installed in the scheduled timeframe while maintaining a high level of focus on safety, profitability, and exceptional customer service.

Our Project Managers contributions to the team include:

Project Development

  • Supporting Development Team with review and provide input on the defined scope of work for projects being developed.
  • Working with subcontractors and vendors to develop cost budgets and refine scopes of work.
  • Supporting Sales and Development teams with Project Proposals as needed.

Project Delivery

  • Performing project risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies for site specific requirements.
  • Following quality management plan or procedures and supplement with site specific quality assurance/quality control procedures as needed.
  • Managing contracting process with subcontractors to ensure scope, bill of materials, schedules, etc. will meet project requirements. Engaging with management and Legal team if deviating from Centrica contract template.
  • Procuring all material and equipment in line with or below project budget, and ensure material and equipment is delivered in a timely manner to make effective use of the labor force and meet project schedules.
  • Continually working to enhance customer relationships to ensure highest possible customer satisfaction at project completion and encourage participation in NPS survey.
  • Accountable for developing and managing project plans and schedules
  • Monitoring and control of project deliveries, costs, accruals, over/under billings, Estimate To Complete (ETC), and Forecast To Complete (FTC), and reconciles project budgets monthly.
  • Accountable for continuous monitoring and control of project deliveries and collaborating with internal team to ensure project schedule encompasses necessary resources and instructions to execute the work.
  • Lead all internal, customer, and vendor meetings pertaining to projects.

The core components of success are (i.e. must haves):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience in Lighting Retrofit Project Management, Project Engineering, or related
  • At least 5 years' experience delivering construction projects to Municipalities, Universities, Schools and Hospitals.
  • Active Driver’s License
  • OSHA 30 certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of obtaining the position

  • Experience working with local vendors and subcontractors (highly preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Journeyman electrician or electrical contractor’s license

The travel required for this position is approximately up to 50% of the time and will be mostly regional.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 + bonus + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
