This role requires strong communication skills, the use of digital tools to monitor project progress, and the ability to collaborate with distributed teams. It is crucial for ensuring that projects stay on track and that risks are addressed promptly, even when team members are working from different locations. Remote project risk managers often use software for risk tracking and reporting, and they must be proactive in anticipating issues that could arise due to remote work dynamics.
