What this job involves:


As an Associate Project Manager, Climate and Decarbonization Practice at JLL, you will be responsible for supporting delivery of energy and decarbonization solutions to our global real estate partners. Your continuous development of skills is key to the impact you will have in this role. Your knowledge of commercial real estate operations, sustainability and energy management will speak to your ability to collaborate with your team in delivering innovative and impactful solutions.

What your day-to-day will look like:


Technical Energy and Decarbonization Analysis (40%)
You will be responsible for supporting technical project delivery related to energy and decarbonization solutions development, energy benchmarking, and reporting. Activities will include a mix of technical asset-level analysis and desktop portfolio analysis. You will support building performance standard compliance efforts across the US (NYC LL97, BERDO, etc.) related to asset-level measure development and analysis. Leveraging Microsoft Excel and additional 3rd Party analysis tools will be a core part of your role as you support the team developing decarbonization pathways for corporate occupier and owner/investor real estate clients.


Decarbonization Advisory Support (15%)
You will interact with clients on decarbonization advisory scopes to develop collaborative decarbonization targets (including SBTi), support project related documentation, perform research, support weekly meetings and develop reports and memos communicating technical details, processes and action items.


Technical Delivery Process Development (10%)
In collaboration with leadership, you will support developing and evolving the technical solutions for our sustainability consulting services. These include data management processes, analysis capabilities, identifying applicable 3rd Party tools as well as client facing deliverables, where applicable. You will need to collaborate across the North American Sustainability Consulting platform to bring together the best of developed solutions.


Additional ESG Advisory & Sustainable Buildings Support (15%)
On an as-needed basis you will support the other pillars of our sustainability consulting practice related to sustainable building design and operations (including LEED, WELL, Fitwel) as well as ESG portfolio advisory for both real estate corporate occupiers and owner/investor portfolios


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-3 years' experience in real estate sustainability, energy/engineering analysis, and/or decarbonization/energy efficiency
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Understanding of building design, construction, and operations across multiple real estate asset types
  • Previous experience with site visits and client engagement
  • Possess strong analytical and creative critical thinking skills
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • An excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in engineering, sustainability management or real estate a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in technical data analysis and/or engineering delivery, client engagement and presentation delivery preferred
  • CEM certification is an asset

Estimated compensation for this position:

70,000.00 - 95,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
