Reporting to the Mental Health Program Supervisor, the Outreach and Well-being Leader focuses on the eight dimensions of well-being and mental health awareness. This role involves creating events and initiatives that help students connect with resources, support, and each other, while fostering a culture of support and well-being for the NAIT student population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively to support the goals of the Mental Health and Wellbeing team and the Student Life department.

  • Provide leadership and service in creating a healthy, inclusive, and supportive culture for students.

  • Develop mental health education promotion resources and campaigns with the Mental Health Program Specialist and Mental Health Program Supervisor.

  • Plan, execute and/or support mental health and well-being initiatives in consultation and partnership with the NAIT Student Life department and our stakeholders.

  • Act as a liaison between students and services by connecting students to campus supports.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to easily build rapport

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting

  • Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and manage time

  • Comfortable initiating conversations with peers in an outreach setting

  • Skills in assisting with developing activities and event planning are considered an asset

  • Ability to take initiative in projects aimed at raising awareness of student well-being resources and topics.

  • Proficiency in graphic design tools like Canva is considered as asset.

  • Ability to generate engaging and visually appealing infographics and social media content.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a full-time NAIT student who enrolled in the 2026-2027 academic year.

  • Must have the ability to work during academically heavy periods, such as mid-term and exam periods

  • Has maintained a good academic record (3.0 GPA or higher cumulative recommended)

  • Must be available to support events before, in between, and after class.

Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES).

Remuneration: Refer to salary range noted on this posting, plus 12% in lieu of statutory holidays and vacation pay.
