Position Summary

The Estimator prepares accurate, high-quality cost estimates and bid proposals for electrical transmission and distribution projects. This role analyzes labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and project costs while collaborating with regional leadership to develop competitive bids, track estimate performance, and support successful project execution.

Job Function

  • Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates using a bottom-up estimating approach.
  • Analyze labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor costs.
  • Identify cost risks and uncertainties.
  • Prepare complete bid proposals.
  • Maintain estimating databases and parametric cost information.
  • Perform post-project estimate-to-actual analysis.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership throughout the bidding process.

Education and Experience
