Ideal candidates will have the flexibility to work from our Jacksonville office or from your home in the Pensacola or Jupiter regions, while candidates throughout Florida may also choose a fully remote arrangement.
Projects You'll Support:
  • Permitting, design and construction for solid waste facilities including landfills, transfer stations, and material recovery facilities 
  • Environmental compliance, investigation and data management / analysis
  • Feasibility studies, technical evaluation, operational enhancements for solid waste facilities
  • Solid waste management planning, sustainability, waste minimization, and beneficial reuse
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle for solid waste initiatives—including scope development, cost estimation, planning, design, permitting, bidding, construction, and closeout
  • Ensure all aspects of the projects meet client expectations, adhering to the agreed scope, budget, and schedule
  • Resolve complex technical, financial, scheduling, and regulatory challenges through effective negotiation and solution-finding
  • Utilize Foth’s project management methodologies to optimize project schedule, resources, and financial performance
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand client relationships
  • Uphold strict safety standards and procedures
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or closely related technical field
  • A minimum of 10 years of consulting experience in solid waste projects
  • At least 5 years of project management experience 
  • Prior experience working on solid waste projects, particularly for public clients
  • History of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in proposal development and cost estimation for civil construction projects
  • Experience in regulatory negotiations and issue resolution
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
