HOW HIRING: Geotechnical Engineer – Project Manager

Location: Braintree, MA (Hybrid)
Position: Full Time


Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected geotechnical specialty contractor to identify an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to join their estimating, sales, and project management team. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex geotechnical and earth retention projects across New England while working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of geotechnical projects, including secant and sheet pile walls, lagging, soil nailing, tiebacks, grouting, underpinning, helical piles, and drilled micro-piles.

  • Oversee multiple projects in various stages, from early estimating to final proposal and negotiation.

  • Collaborate with the estimating and sales teams to provide technical guidance and operational input.

  • Attend industry events and participate in business development initiatives, including lunch-and-learns.

  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to project staff as needed.

  • Ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget.


Qualifications & Requirements
  • 3–5 years of project management experience in geotechnical engineering.

  • Strong understanding of earth retention systems, including secant walls, soil nailing, tiebacks, and micro-piles.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
