Campus Connect, Inc

Gulfport, MS • Remote

Full-time

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to spearhead the next stage of our product's development.  In this role, you'll combine strategic product management with hands-on product ownership, working closely with engineering, design, and business teams to deliver impactful solutions. You will own the product roadmap and drive projects from concept to launch, ensuring our platform continues to meet user needs and business goals. If you thrive on ownership, enjoy making a tangible impact, and excel at cross-functional collaboration, this role is for you.

This is a fully remote position working in the United States or Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap, aligning it with company goals and customer needs.
  • Project Planning & Oversight: Collaborate with the Development Lead on project planning. While the Dev Lead handles the detailed breakdown of tasks, you will review and approve these plans to ensure they align with product objectives and scope.
  • Milestone Tracking & Accountability: Track product development milestones and timelines using Zoho Sprints and Zoho Projects. Ensure progress is visible to all stakeholders and hold the development team accountable to delivery targets, proactively addressing risks or blockers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, UI/UX design, sales, and customer success teams to drive product initiatives forward. Facilitate clear communication and coordination across departments to ensure everyone is on the same page.
  • Product Delivery & Launch: Coordinate release planning and go-to-market activities for new features and updates. Ensure that product outcomes and changes are clearly communicated across the company (and to customers when appropriate) so that all teams are prepared.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update internal stakeholders on product progress, upcoming releases, and any roadblocks. Champion the product vision throughout the company, maintaining transparency and alignment on goals and expectations.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications)

  • Experience: 5+ years in product management or a related role, with at least a couple of years in a senior or lead capacity (ideally in a B2B SaaS environment). Proven track record of taking software products or major features from concept to release.
  • Agile Expertise: Hands-on experience in agile development environments. Comfortable using project management tools – we use Zoho Sprints and Zoho Projects (familiarity with similar tools like Jira or Trello is a plus).
  • Strategic & Analytical: Ability to define product strategy and make data-informed decisions. Capable of conducting market research, analyzing user feedback, and using analytics to drive prioritization and improvements.
  • Leadership & Ownership: Self-motivated leader who takes ownership of projects and outcomes. Able to set clear goals, manage timelines, and hold teams accountable in a positive, constructive manner.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent communicator who can articulate the product vision to non-technical stakeholders as comfortably as discussing technical details with developers. Strong presentation and storytelling skills are a plus.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Empathy for end-users and a strong desire to solve customer problems; experience incorporating customer support feedback (e.g. from Zoho Desk or similar ticketing systems) into the product development process.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). An MBA or advanced degree is a bonus but not required.

Why Join Campus Connect?

  • High Impact: Play a leading role in shaping a product that is transforming how schools manage education. Your contributions will directly influence our customers' success and drive the company's growth.
  • Ownership & Growth: This role comes with significant autonomy and ownership. You'll have the chance to implement your ideas and see them through. As an early product leader in our team, you'll also have opportunities to grow your career as the company expands.
  • Collaborative Culture: Join a tight-knit team that values collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement. You will work side by side with passionate colleagues across engineering, design, and business disciplines.
  • Fast-Paced & Agile: We are a nimble organization where new initiatives and innovations happen quickly. If you enjoy a startup-like environment where you can move fast and make a real impact, you'll fit right in.
  • Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive salary along with a comprehensive benefits package and other perks to ensure you're empowered to do your best work.
