Job Description

Acumen Solutions is hiring for a Senior Project Manager in the Philadelphia Metro Area. This position will initially be responsible for managing a mobile development project consisting of 3 to 5 resources, with a career path towards a senior leadership roles within Acumen Solutions.

Specific Duties

  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements 
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities 
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope 
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client 
  • Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards 
  • Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures 
  • Identifies and manages project risk
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately 
  • Reviews the status reports of team members and addresses issues as appropriate   
  • Support client management and relationship development as well as business development efforts as needed


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 - 15 years experience managing projects/teams across the entire SDLC including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment and support 
  • Change/release management
  • Professional Services experience
  • IT consulting and client interaction
  • Networking and business development
  • Any mobile application or cable/telecom experience is a plus
  • Experience working within an established PMO process
  • Experience managing 3rd party implementation vendors
  • Experience managing 3rd party support vendors General Project/Practice Related Competencies Project /Practice Management
  • Experience in designing and developing software components and having a very strong Service Oriented Architecture and integration background 
  • Authorized to work for any U.S. employer
  • Remote work is not an option for this role
