Job Description

The Director of Strategy & Capital Management serves as the strategic and operational leader of Aramark's Capital Management Design & Construction (CMDC) organization.  Reporting to the National Director, Engineering Solutions and Enterprise Capital Management Office (ECPMO). this position is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving the enterprise-wide capital management strategy supporting all Aramark Lines of Business. 

This executive leadership role provides strategic oversight of capital planning, portfolio management, project governance, financial controls, PMO operations, business analytics, vendor management, organizational performance, and capital delivery processes. The Director establishes standardized methodologies, business processes, governance frameworks, and performance metrics that ensure capital programs are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with enterprise objectives. 

The Director leads a multidisciplinary organization responsible for enterprise capital planning, capital program management, financial governance, procurement oversight, portfolio reporting, project controls, resource planning, and continuous process improvement. Working collaboratively with executive leadership, operations, finance, procurement, design, construction, and external partners, this individual develops long-range capital investment strategies that maximize client value while supporting Aramark's continued growth. 

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for Aramark's enterprise-wide Capital Management, Design, and Construction (CMDC) function, ensuring capital investments align with organizational objectives, client needs, and long-term growth strategies.Lead the development and execution of enterprise capital planning, investment prioritization, portfolio optimization, and capital deployment strategies across all lines of business.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks, project delivery standards, and portfolio management processes that drive consistency, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee enterprise capital financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, capital authorization, financial reporting, cost controls, and performance measurement.
  • Direct the planning, execution, and performance of complex capital programs and project portfolios, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk objectives.
  • Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams spanning program management, project controls, portfolio management, financial analysis, procurement, and administrative support functions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership by providing strategic recommendations, investment analyses, portfolio insights, risk assessments, and performance reporting.
  • Foster strong partnerships with clients, operations, finance, procurement, engineering, design, construction, and business development stakeholders to achieve enterprise objectives.
  • Provide executive oversight of strategic supplier relationships, professional services, contractors, consultants, and vendor programs to optimize quality, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Champion process standardization, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives that enhance efficiency, governance, and project outcomes across the organization.
  • Develop and monitor enterprise performance metrics, dashboards, and analytics to drive data-based decision-making, resource optimization, portfolio health, and return on capital investment.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, employee engagement, talent development, succession planning, and high-performance leadership throughout the organization.
  • Partner with Business Development, Operations, and Executive Leadership to identify, quantify, and execute capital investment opportunities that support client retention, account growth, new business pursuits, mergers and acquisitions, and enterprise expansion initiatives.
  • Support sales and client solutions efforts by developing capital strategies, facility investment roadmaps, and value propositions that strengthen Aramark's competitive position and drive revenue growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree (MBA, Engineering Management, Construction Management, or related field) preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, DBIA, PE, RA, LEED AP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience managing enterprise capital programs, construction organizations, or large-scale project portfolios.
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams across multiple geographic regions.
  • Experience managing portfolios exceeding $150M+ annually with executive-level financial accountability.
  • Proven ability to build high-performing organizations, implement enterprise PMO standards, and drive measurable operational improvements.
