Job Summary:

 

Genesis Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP/ERP Project Manager to lead the implementation of an enterprise AI-driven Procurement Card (P-Card) monitoring solution for a State government client. This individual will oversee all phases of project delivery, from planning and pilot implementation through statewide deployment, ensuring successful integration with existing ERP, financial, procurement, and travel & expense systems.

 

The ideal candidate possesses strong public sector ERP project management experience, preferably supporting SAP or other enterprise financial systems, and has exposure to Travel & Expense, procurement, P-Card, or financial compliance processes. Experience leading complex technology implementations involving multiple stakeholders, systems integration, governance, vendor management, and organizational change management is essential.

 

Experience managing SAP S/4HANA or ECC implementations, ERP modernization initiatives, or large-scale financial system transformations within state or federal government environments is highly desirable.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·        Lead end-to-end implementation of an AI-powered Procurement Card (P-Card) monitoring solution supporting a statewide pilot and enterprise deployment.

·        Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and implementation roadmaps.

·        Manage pilot implementation across multiple State Agencies and Institutions of Higher Education, ensuring project objectives, timelines, and success criteria are achieved.

·        Coordinate with cross-functional teams including business, finance, procurement, audit, information technology, security, data analytics, vendors, and executive leadership.

·        Establish project governance, steering committee reporting, risk management processes, issue resolution, and executive communications.

·        Collaborate with State stakeholders to define business requirements, success metrics, and implementation strategy.

·        Oversee systems integration activities with ERP, financial, procurement, banking, identity management, and reporting platforms.

·        Manage vendor deliverables, contract performance, project milestones, and acceptance criteria.

·        Coordinate system configuration, testing, defect management, user acceptance testing (UAT), production readiness, and deployment activities.

·        Lead organizational change management efforts including communications, stakeholder engagement, training coordination, and user adoption.

·        Ensure project compliance with State procurement policies, security requirements, audit standards, and financial controls.

·        Monitor project performance using KPIs, dashboards, status reports, and executive-level presentations.

·        Facilitate lessons learned, continuous improvement initiatives, and transition to operations following implementation.
