The Position Details are as follows: * Status: Full-Time, Permanent, with flexibility to consider a contract arrangement * Office Location: Burlington; remote and hybrid work arrangements are also available * Salary Range: $113,500 – $148,500 * Additional Compensation Info: Permanent roles will participate in our Firm's structured Bonus program, and is eligible to receive our benefits plan * Reason for Hire: New Position   Reporting to Partners, Principals and Senior Managers, you will be responsible for: * Primarily focusing on U.S. corporate tax while demonstrating the ability or willingness to develop skills in U.S. personal tax to support the team during peak periods, including reviewing tax returns prepared by staff and providing clear, constructive feedback to support their growth and ensure accuracy * Being a key contributor to the growth of a new US Tax group, and contributing to tax planning strategies, client management initiatives, and service delivery initiatives * Providing both technical and project management support on U.S. Corporate Tax projects * Researching, interpreting tax legislation, formulating solutions, and providing recommendations * Proactively identifying and communicating significant findings or issues to the senior team, offering well-reasoned recommendations and collaborating with stakeholders as needed * Delivering planning and advisory services related to cross-border tax structures and compliance requirements * Managing a portfolio of US tax clients, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with all filing and reporting deadlines * Preparing client correspondence, including reports, discussion of technical issues and recommendations * Acting in the capacity of a coach to specific US tax staff, providing support and development * Supporting business development efforts, including identifying opportunities and participating in client proposals and presentations as required * Assistance to other offices of the Firm as required * Additional responsibilities as required to support Firm objectives   The ideal candidate will have: * Graduate of a University Accounting Program, or equivalent * US Certified Public Accountant and/or Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation and/or IRS Enrolled Agent Designation * Experience in an oversight role * Minimum of four (4) years post-qualification US tax experience in a public accounting practice * Strong knowledge of US tax legislation, including corporate tax regulations * Thorough understanding of the Internal Revenue Code * Knowledge of CCH Axcess Tax, CaseWare, CaseView, Taxprep and Microsoft Office programs, an asset If you are a confident, dedicated, and hard-working professional motivated to achieve high standards of quality service and value for clients, we would love to hear from you!   We appreciate all who express interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
