Summary:
The Application Engineer will design, select, and configure pumps and fluid systems, support applications engineering with equipment sizing, pricing, and quoting, provide technical support to sales, service, and customers, manage project bids, orders, and timelines, coordinate with factory for documentation and equipment start-up, maintain and update quotation logs.
Responsibilities of the Application Engineer include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide customer service, sales, & technical support to sales force & customers
  • Promote & encourage "Profit Management" to ensure a profitable future for the company
  • Work closely with sales, fabrication & vendors to facilitate the sales effort & meet customer requirements
  • Prepare proposals using vendor software, sales catalogs & cost estimates according to technical and performance requirements
  • Take incoming calls, emails and faxes from customers and discuss equipment applications, design and configuration of fluid handling systems.
  • Make equipment recommendations and prepare quotations
  • Assist with the follow-up of all quotes.

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
  • 5+ years applicable experience with required pump knowledge, i.e. centrifugal pumps, VTP, other fluid handling equipment and fabricated pumping systems
  • 4-year degree preferably in engineering.
  • The ability to talk and connect with people in person and over the phone is a must.
  • The drive to do whatever it takes to solve the customer's problems and fulfill their needs.
  • Computer literate
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter demonstrated ability to work productively with minimal supervision
  • Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelines

Additional Information
  • Pay: $80,000 - $110,000, DOE
  • Physical Demand: Walking and sitting
  • Working Conditions: In-office position

  • Shift Time/Overtime: M - F schedule
  • Travel: No travel unless we send you to training at one of our suppliers.
