You will utilize secure electronic health record (EHR) systems to track client progress and maintain confidentiality as you deliver care.

As an Associate Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day routine will involve:

• Conducting individual and group therapy sessions for clients of various ages and mental health diagnoses, tailoring interventions to meet their unique needs.
• Documenting client interactions comprehensively and maintaining accurate treatment records in the EHR system.
• Actively participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews to discuss client progress and collaborate on treatment strategies.
• Supporting the development and modification of treatment plans in conjunction with supervised clinical staff.
• Engaging in ongoing professional development through weekly supervision sessions and training workshops designed to enhance your therapeutic skills.

You will work with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Social Worker (ASW), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) in California.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required, with preference given to candidates who have commenced or completed their Master’s degree in a mental health discipline.
• A foundational understanding of ethical practices and clinical standards within mental health care.
• Basic proficiency in EHR systems, with the ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.

While a minimum of one year of relevant experience is required, candidates with additional clinical experience or specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, or other therapeutic modalities will be given preferential consideration.
