Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health concerns, employing standardized diagnostic tools to formulate clinical diagnoses as well as developing individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver therapy to clients through various modalities including individual, group, and family therapy sessions that are evidence-based and personalized to each client's goals.
  • Provide crisis intervention services for clients facing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate support and assistance when needed.
  • Maintain precise and confidential client records following ethical practices and legal requirements, documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment results clearly.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers, ensuring a holistic and comprehensive approach to client care.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions and resources, advocating for their needs and ensuring they are informed of their treatment options.
  • Commit to continuous professional development through participation in workshops and training sessions to remain current with best practices in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Robina Behavioral Health Center, you will engage with a diverse client population. Your caseload may include children, adolescents, adults, and families, each facing unique mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress-related disorders, and more. Your personal approach will be essential in building trust and rapport, fostering a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a valid license as a Mental Health Therapist, including but not limited to LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW.
  • Education requirements include a Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, with the ability to accurately diagnose and create effective treatment strategies.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience is mandatory.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate connection and understanding with clients.

Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a clinical outpatient setting is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates. Experience working with specific populations such as children or trauma survivors is a plus.
