Job Summary: The Product Owner serves as the subject matter expert for assigned products, guiding vision, roadmap development, and cross-functional alignment. In this role, they work closely with stakeholders to ensure product priorities reflect customer needs and deliver meaningful business value. This individual will oversee the product lifecycle from planning through launch, monitoring performance and addressing risks to support successful outcomes. The Product Owner must have strong leadership skills, clear communication, and the ability to bring structure and focus to complex initiatives.
Reporting Relationship: Senior Vice President, Research & Development
Shift: General business hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm CST. This hybrid role requires a combination of weekly on-campus and remote work with specific days varying based on departmental policy and business need. Generally, all positions may be fully performed on-campus in Mission, KS. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.
Scope of the Role:
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned products, integrations, and workflows
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to shape product vision and roadmap
  • Ensure work is prioritized and delivered in alignment with customer needs and business value
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks and issues, partnering with Executive Sponsors to track and resolve them
  • Monitor and report on product adoption, performance metrics, and key indicators
  • Contribute to the development of business tools, documentation, and supporting collateral
  • Collaborate closely with other Product Owners to continuously improve product ownership practices and ensure consistent ways of working across the team
  • Support sales, implementation, and customer success teams post-launch, serving as the expert on product functionality
  • Participate in occasional travel to engage with external stakeholders as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years experience in Product Ownership or Program Management
  • Experience with ScriptPro products preferred
  • Product Owner certification (e.g., CSPO, PSPO, SAFe POPM) preferred
  • Prior experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or other common Agile work management and delivery tools
  • Demonstrated experience defining product vision and roadmap, and driving alignment with executives and cross-functional teams
  • Proven success working within Agile environments and leading teams composed of internal and external resources
  • Excellent leadership, verbal communication, and written communication skills
  • Highly collaborative approach with the ability to build strong partnerships across the organization
  • Skilled in facilitating effective meetings and driving alignment among stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively with users, development teams, and management across all levels
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing requirements, documentation, and deliverables
  • Manages multiple priorities through effective planning, time management, and structured workflow organization
