Role - Regional Sales Manager, Government and Military - THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION

The Regional Sales Manager's purpose is to prepare and execute all aspects of the sales cycle for the broad scope of products, services and solutions to United States Government, Military and associated customers; deliver and regularly exceed sales expectations; position Seal Dynamics as a world class partner with every customer by embracing our values and successfully balancing the customers' requirements with our corporate objectives to achieve our goals.

Duties & Responsibilities -
  1. Technically understands the functionality of all products and be able to effectively sell by differentiating them over competition when possible.
  2. Develop sales plans and coordinate with Product Managers in advance of meetings. Following the visit, constructs a final report outlining the findings and actions along with market intelligence.
  3. Routinely makes sales calls and travel to customers for a minimum of 50% of their time.
  4. Executes tactical sales meetings at customer facilities to include Engineering Support and Defense Logistics Agencies, Program and Supply Chain Management offices, US Military Bases/Depots, Foreign Military Sales customers, Government Contracted MRO's, etc.
  5. Develops relationships with a balanced cross section of customer contacts and decision makers related to the various government facilities outlined above.
  6. Maintains appropriate relationships as customer organizations and contacts change
  7. Constantly identifies opportunities for existing SP products based on product reliability, performance, availability, price, etc.
  8. Promotes Seal Dynamics as a partner to provide solutions.
  9. Ensures customer satisfaction by managing the entire sales process and the relationship between Seal Dynamics and customers.
  10. Monitors competitors in the marketplace and industry trends that impact buying decisions and present potential risks.
  11. Responsible for delivering sales presentations and collecting information about the customer to assist in the development of marketing plans and sales strategies to increase sales.
  12. Responsible for introducing Source Approval Requests (SAR) opportunities and supporting the SAR submission through the approval process as required.
  13. Ability to develop budgets and forecasts on a quarterly basis.
  14. Works with all functions of the organization to deliver results according to expectations.
  15. Works in tandem with the Product Managers and Strategic Partners to drive programs at selected customers utilizing several approaches including the CRM tool.
  16. Coordinates activities with Reps in the region where applicable.
  17. Engages in collection activities when accounts become past due in coordination with Finance team.

  1. Keeps up to date on industry and product trends.
  2. Helps with projects related to the sales team.
  3. Responds to emails on the same day (within 24 hours when traveling).
  4. Ability to work remotely from home office.
  5. Able to master the tools available to manage sales activities.
  6. Continuously educate and expand knowledge of products and related systems.
  7. Maintain constant communication with all interested parties (external and internal).
Knowledge & Skills Required -
  1. Highly motivated with a passion to achieve exceptional results.
  2. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Multilingual (Spanish) is highly desired.
  3. Sufficient knowledge of government defense platforms and general missions to link requirements to strategic partner requirements.
  4. Proven business and engineering acumen.
  5. Negotiation skills to address challenges and maximize profitability.
  6. General understanding of contracts, consortiums, and other transaction authorities to represent SD's best interests.
  7. Ability to adapt to unexpected situations, overcome obstacles, and find solutions.
  8. Ability to quickly respond to requests and close deals with a sense of urgency.
  9. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and stay organized and meet deadlines.
  10. Effectively utilize computer tools, systems, and reports to access information independently.
  11. Team player that is willing to work with a diverse mix of individuals, placing team before self.
  12. Willingness to work odd hours on occasion.

Experience & Education Required -

BS Degree in engineering, marketing, business, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of sales experience (experience with Army or Navy acquisitions, supply chain, or logistics).

Direct experience working in/or with US Government and Military Agencies.

Ability to access U.S. Military installations (highly desired).
Physical Demands -
Ability to travel extensively
Ability to spend hours traversing through Military Depots, Bases and MRO facilities
Ability to work on computer 8 hours per day
