Verse Medical

New York, NY • Remote

Full-time

Medical, Retirement

Posted 10 days ago

Job description

Our Mission: Hospital-Quality Care, Everywhere.

The healthcare industry still relies on faxes and phone tag to coordinate critical care for patients at home. We think patients and the clinicians who serve them deserve better than a system stuck in 1995.

Verse Medical is building the modern software infrastructure to make it happen. We're a well-funded Series C company (backed by General Catalyst, SignalFire, and Sapphire Ventures) on a mission to heal a fragmented system. Our platform connects the dots between providers, payors, and patients, ensuring people get the high-quality care they need, reliably and right where they live. We’re growing fast and looking for people who are driven by this mission to join us!

Our Values: The Principles That Guide Us

Our values are the operating system for how we work together and with our partners. They aren't just words on a wall; they are the principles we bring to every decision, every day.

  • We are transparent, upfront and direct. We operate with honesty and clarity. We share information openly, the good and the bad, and believe that direct, respectful feedback is the foundation of trust and progress.

  • We value speed of iteration. We are building something new, which means we learn by doing. We prioritize rapid iteration and getting solutions into the hands of users, believing that progress is more valuable than perfection.

  • We give 110% effort, 30% of the time. We are passionate about our mission, and there are moments that require us to go the extra mile. We believe in focused intensity when it counts, balanced by a sustainable pace that keeps our team energized for the long run.

  • We empathize with customers to a fault. When our users face a problem, we own it. Instead of asking them to change, we ask ourselves, "How can we make this better?" We believe true innovation comes from deep empathy and a relentless focus on solving the real-world challenges of healthcare.

Job Title: Product ManagerAbout Verse Medical

We’re building the software infrastructure that enables hospital-quality care, at home. As healthcare costs have increased, the patient’s home has become incredibly important as a site of care.

Yet, patients recovering at home are highly underserved. Patients can only get better at home if they receive the high-quality care that they need reliably. The existing in-home care process involves a patchwork of different vendors, all connected through faxes and phone calls. We’re building modern, robust software that solves this challenge. We currently operate across 49 states with most of the largest health systems in the US.

We’re a Series C company, backed by some of the best investors in technology and healthcare including SignalFire and Sapphire Ventures. We have ambitious expansion plans, so it’s a particularly exciting time to join the company as we’re aggressively expanding the team.

Product Management at Verse

This isn’t a standard PM role and we don’t want a standard PM.

At Verse, engineers are deeply product-oriented, and product managers are expected to be analytical, execution-focused leaders who can deeply understand the problems we solve. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with a strong team of engineers, designers and clinical operators who all share a bias for action and a deep sense of mission.

We’re hiring our fourth Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you’ll have end-to-end ownership of several high-priority product areas, including our AI-driven rules engine, our partnership network, and our record collection efforts.

If you thrive in high-ownership environments, and want to build real systems that improve real lives, this is the place.

What the role consists of:
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, business operations and legal to deliver impactful and intuitive features at scale.

  • Develop product strategy aligned with company goals and market opportunities.

  • Conduct market research to identify user needs and market trends.

  • Define and prioritize product roadmaps.

  • Create product requirements and user stories.

  • Lead product lifecycle from concept to launch.

  • Perform user and stakeholder analysis.

  • Develop and track product KPIs, conduct A/B tests and iterate on features to optimize user experiences.Continuously optimize user experiences by developing and tracking product KPIs, and iterating on features informed by A/B test results.

  • Drive product innovation by staying informed about trends in the healthtech sector, competitor products, and emerging technologies.

  • Operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ambiguity and visibility.

  • Work independently amidst a high degree of ambiguity and visibility in a fast-paced environment.

What we're looking for:
  • 5 - 7+ years of Product Management experience preferably in a healthcare environment or digital health.

  • Deep understanding of product management practices, including market research, ideation, user testing, and agile development.

  • Experience working directly with engineers, designers, data analysts/scientists to solve multi-faceted problems to drive business value for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Passion for delivering exceptional user experiences that improve the lives of in-home patients and support healthcare partners.

  • Working knowledge of user-centered design principles and best practices.

  • Strong empathy, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong strategic thinking, research and analytical skills to inform product decisions.

  • Preferred: experience with SQL, design tools, ticketing tools (Jira, Linear), A/B testing, and prototyping.

Why this role:
  • We just closed our Series C last year and are investing in expanding our product offerings.

  • Join a small but fast-growing product organisation and make a significant impact on its success.

  • Play a crucial role in expanding our healthcare technology offerings.

  • Work closely with the Head of Product and other technical and business leaders within the company.

  • Work in a dynamic and innovative environment in the heart of Manhattan, New York City.

Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation.

  • Opportunities for rapid career advancement in a growing company.

  • 100% premium coverage for health insurance.

  • 401(k) with no matching at this time.

This is a hybrid role based in our New York office and will require you to be in the office 4x in a week.

Our Pledge for an Equitable Future

At Verse Medical, our mission is to deliver equitable, hospital-quality care to everyone, regardless of their background or where they live. We can only achieve this if our own team reflects the diversity of the patients we serve. We are committed to building a workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging, where their contributions are valued, and where they can do their best work. We embrace diversity of all kinds: race, gender, age, religion, identity, experience. We are actively working to build a more inclusive and equitable world, starting from within our own walls. We are an equal opportunity employer.

We are also committed to providing a positive and accessible interview experience. If you require any accommodations to participate in our process, please contact us at recruiting@versemedical.com.
