About the Role:
As an Inside Sales Intern, youโ€™ll be an integral part of a collaborative, agile team. Youโ€™ll design, analyze, and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency and exceed expectations. The Inside Sales Intern reports to the AVP, Inside Sales and will be based out of our home office in Topeka, Kansas.

  • Provide daily support to our partners by answering calls and emails in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Build and maintain relationships with our distribution partners and ISCโ€™s.
  • Develop a broad understanding of all Security Benefit products, services, policies and procedures.
  • Listen, probe, uncover and analyze needs and recognize potential sales/service opportunities.
  • Take ownership and resolve problems by gathering, analyzing, pursuing appropriate course of action, and following up when necessary.
  • Efficient utilization of internal and technical resources as well as desktop technology.

What Weโ€™re Looking For:
Students eligible for the summer internship will also be full-time students and available to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer.

  • Full-time college students pursuing majors in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Marketing, Actuarial, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other business-related degrees.
  • Ideal candidates will be well organized, self-motivated, detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making.
