Job description

As Sr. Product Developer, you'll Lead the design and development of modern, scalable web applications, with a focus on building and maintaining robust frontend architectures and reusable design systems. This role drives full-stack development efforts, including API design and integration, while ensuring high standards for usability, accessibility, performance, and code quality through testing and best practices. Additionally, this role will support efficient delivery through collaboration, Agile processes, and DevOps practices such as containerization and CI/CD.

What you'll do:
  • Build intuitive, mission-focused products that users can adopt quickly and rely on in real-world scenarios
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Product, DevOps, and AI teams to translate user needs into elegant, usable solutions
  • Develop scalable, modular applications using modern frontend and backend frameworks
  • Lead the implementation and evolution of design systems and reusable component libraries
  • Continuously improve performance, usability, accessibility, and visual consistency based on user feedback and data

What you'll need to succeed:
  • 4+ years of experience in a lead developer role
  • Strong experience building modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and backend services
  • Working knowledge of databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
  • Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and responsive design
  • Experience building scalable, component-based UI architectures
  • Proficiency with Git-based workflows
  • Experience writing unit and/or integration tests
  • Ability to work in Agile environments and ship iteratively
  • Focus on building usable, high-quality, user-centered applications
  • Ability to obtain a Secret (or higher) security clearance

SALARY RANGE: $124,000 - $147,000
The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
