Reid Supply (An Essentra Company) is a pure distribution business, specializing in the industrial parts and supplies sector, based in Norton Shores, West Michigan. 


Summary:


Reid Supply, an Essentra Company, is hiring a Product and Supply Manager for our office in Norton Shores, MI. This is a hands-on leadership role that owns the strategic direction of products and vendor management, and it is an important member of the Reid leadership team (RLT), reporting into the General Manager of the business. Responsible for managing and driving the future product strategy, including managing the supplier relationships and purchasing team and owning the product group plans, including the range and depth of SKU's within in each group. This role is directly responsible for Product Management, Purchasing and Demand Panning. This role’s primary function is ensuring Reid is best placed to always maximize commercial opportunities by having the right products available from the right sources at the right time.    


This is a key member of the Leadership Team, working closely and alongside the Head of Sales and broader commercial functions as well as Marketing and Commercial Managers to maximize effectiveness. Collaboration and support of the broader team is a key attribute that will make this person a success.


The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in managing products, purchasing, and demand planning combined with in-depth understanding of commercial principals.


This is a hybrid role that will require working onsite 3 days per week in the Norton Shores office. Local candidates only please.


Typical Accountabilities:


• Product Range Ownership: Current range management and rationalization, new product introductions; including creation and maintenance of product data & pricing while coordinating with internal stakeholders. 

• Ensure the company has the right stock to support all top customers.

• Manage the life cycle of the product range; adding, removing, and adjusting lines as required. 

• Managing vendors and costs. 

• Managing list prices that align to the market. 

• Make key decisions based on data and commercial and market knowledge.

• Work closely with the Marketing Manager on internal and external communications related to existing and new products plans.  Lead the product training of commercial teams via LMS, virtual or live product training sessions. 

• Focus on gaining market share and new business; ensure products capitalize on the company’s ability to cross sell and ensure the commercial teams understand and maximize this potential.  

• Create and maintain the product strategy and roadmap.

• Develop KPIs to measure and track product and customer progress.

• Drive the move toward an insight-driven organization that leverages the power of data.

• Perform related job duties as required and assigned.



Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field is a plus but not required.

• 10+ years of product and vendor management experience ideally within a B2B Distributor.

• Strong ERP skills a deep understanding of how product set up impacts the business.

• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and utilize data to drive sound decisions. Must be proficient in Excel and other data management platforms.

• Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills (verbal & written).

• Works well with other teams to ensure all parties are engaged and properly involved; ensuring successful completion of projects.

• Remains effective working in a pressurized environment.

• Previous experience in industrial component markets.

• Ability to fully utilize the company ERP and CRM systems.

• Related experience in product management, vendor management, pricing and/or product data.

• High level of ability using Microsoft Office Suite

• Fluency in English language

• Spanish or other Language skills are a plus but not required.

• Training experience
