Job description

The Centralized Part Research Associate is a research-focused position dedicated to identifying, verifying, and sourcing the exact parts needed to support service operations. This role requires precision, analytical thinking, and resourcefulness. You will conduct in-depth research on part numbers, pricing, and availability, ensuring every procurement decision is backed by accurate, verified information. This position operates within our 100% remote Dealership Support Center and plays a critical role in reducing downtime, improving service efficiency, and supporting exceptional customer experiences.

Key Objectives

  • Conduct thorough research to accurately identify parts based on service work orders
  • Verify all part numbers, pricing, and availability using multiple trusted sources
  • Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers and suppliers to expand research resources

Responsibilities

  • Receive and review parts requests from the service department, clarifying requirements as needed
  • Use manufacturer catalogs, online databases, and direct supplier communications to research and verify part details
  • Compare pricing, availability, and lead times from multiple vendors to identify the most effective sourcing solution
  • Track industry trends and manufacturer updates to anticipate potential supply challenges
  • Document all research findings and sourcing decisions for internal reference
  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy, ensuring that all parts sourced meet the technical specifications required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying ways to streamline research and procurement processes
