The role of Sr. Specialist, Procurement Operations at K2 Services is responsible for supporting and optimizing procurement activities across the organization, including vendor management, purchase order processing, contract coordination, and sourcing support. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement aligned with internal policies and business objectives. The Senior Specialist partners with stakeholders across departments to maintain procurement accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

We are seeking a highly accountable procurement professional who can independently manage complex client scenarios, vendor relationships, and renewal activities with minimal oversight. This individual must be comfortable navigating ambiguity, identifying solutions to complex issues, and proactively escalating risks, roadblocks, and client concerns when necessary. Success in this role requires strong business judgment, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to seeing work through to completion.

Responsibilities
  • Independently manage complex client renewals, contract negotiations, and sourcing activities involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and ambiguous requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for procurement challenges, driving issues to resolution while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Anticipate project risks, identify roadblocks early, and proactively communicate mitigation plans to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams and clients by providing thoughtful recommendations, sound business judgment, and solution-oriented guidance.
  • Maintain ownership of assigned workstreams from initiation through completion, ensuring commitments are met and stakeholders remain informed throughout the process.
  • Manage the customer contract lifecycle, including monitoring upcoming expirations, coordinating renewals, and maintaining accurate contract records within contract management systems.
  • Perform financial, budget, vendor, and contract analysis to support client decision-making, cost optimization, and procurement strategy.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships, reporting, and channel programs to maximize client value, incentives, rebates, and operational efficiency.
  • Support Request-to-Pay processes and provide procurement technology support to internal and client stakeholders.
  • Support Telecom Expense Management activities, including inventory tracking, carrier dispute resolution, vendor coordination, and ad hoc client requests.
  • Partner with Client Engagement teams to identify opportunities to expand procurement and managed service offerings.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or contract management, including ownership of complex renewals, sourcing initiatives, and vendor relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including experience working with large datasets, financial analysis, reporting, and audit functions.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and drive business recommendations.
  • Experience reviewing, interpreting, and administering contractual agreements and renewal terms.
  • Experience supporting client-facing procurement, sourcing, or vendor management activities preferred.
  • Experience in professional services, technology distribution, technology resale, managed services, or related industries preferred.

  • Ability and willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
