Work Environment

As a remote mental health therapist, you will engage with clients during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), allowing for a balanced approach that respects professional boundaries while accommodating patient needs. The remote setup is fully supported by our organization, with access to the necessary tools and systems to ensure seamless communication and documentation. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments to evaluate mood disorder symptoms, including their severity, frequency, and impact on clients' daily lives.
• Collaborate with clients to devise personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs and objectives, integrating their preferences into the therapeutic process.
• Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to implement effective therapeutic interventions.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client care.
• Stay informed about the latest research in mental health to enhance treatment methodologies and contribute to best practices within the team.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation for all client interactions in adherence to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in professional development activities and team meetings, engaging in case consultations to reinforce clinical competencies and teamwork.
• Advocate for clients, actively working to reduce the stigma associated with mood disorders and ensuring their mental health needs are met within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary demographic served includes individuals dealing with mood disorders, particularly adults experiencing conditions such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, specifically CBT and DBT.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, showcasing a strong grasp of psychopharmacology.
• A proven track record of successful treatment outcomes in managing mood disorders.
• Exceptional communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport and trust across diverse client backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a remote therapy setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this full-time role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
