• Conduct thorough assessments and diagnosis of patients’ mental health status using applicable diagnostic tools, including the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
• Develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, ensuring to address cultural diversity and specific needs pertinent to the school setting.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment strategies regularly, making adjustments as needed to optimize mental health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation of treatment records in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory standards, leveraging modern technology where appropriate.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including educators and school psychologists, to create a comprehensive support system for patients.
• Coordinate referral options and establish strong professional relationships with other providers to facilitate comprehensive care for patients.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring roles for students, interns, and volunteers, sharing knowledge and contributing to the development of future professionals in the field.
• Participate in additional clinical activities such as peer reviews, collaboration meetings, and process improvement initiatives to further enhance our patient care approach.

This position primarily serves children and families affected by cancer diagnoses, addressing the unique psychological and emotional needs that emerge in the wake of such challenges. This includes coping with grief, anxiety, and adjustment issues that impact not only the patients but the entire family dynamic. Your expertise will play a vital role in providing critical support and guiding these families through their health journeys.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work is required.
• Possession of a current State License as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based mental health practices and a thorough understanding of diagnostic tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience in an educational or school setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with oncology-related psychological support strategies and interventions.
• Prior involvement in mentoring roles or educational initiatives within the field of social work.

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
