Job description

Bring your privacy expertise to a fast-paced, collaborative environment where youโ€™ll help shape privacy impact assessments and ML privacy reviews for new products and services. This 100% remote contract opportunity offers the chance to partner with cross-functional teams, strengthen privacy-by-design practices, and support thoughtful, risk-aware decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Legal, Security, and other stakeholders to gather details about data use, processing activities, and technical safeguards.
  • Review privacy and machine learning submissions, identify potential risks, and help drive practical mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and refine privacy documentation, including end-to-end data flow diagrams and operational controls, for formal review and approval.
  • Manage multiple privacy documents and workstreams at different stages of review while keeping progress on track.
  • Support the completion and delivery of required privacy assessments and related documentation.
  • Monitor for compliance and operational risks throughout the assessment lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with privacy incident response partners to triage and escalate internal privacy-related tickets as needed.
  • Help ensure documentation and processes align with global privacy expectations and enterprise standards.
Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in privacy operations, compliance, or data governance within a technology or enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of global data protection laws and frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, LGPD, and PIPEDA.
  • Proven experience conducting privacy impact assessments and supporting privacy-by-design efforts.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, including legal, product, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience translating complex business and technical processes into actionable privacy requirements.
  • Strong organizational and program management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities at once.
  • Comfort influencing across teams and building alignment in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with privacy management tools such as OneTrust, TrustArc, or BigID.
  • Familiarity with collaboration platforms such as Jira, Confluence, or Asana.
  • Professional certifications such as AIGP, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, or CIPT.
  • Background supporting privacy programs in global, highly collaborative organizations.
  • Experience contributing to privacy incident response or escalation workflows.
