Job description

Job Title: Litigation Attorney Location: Oregon Schedule: Remote; Part-Time (25-35 hours per week) Pay Rate: $50-$65/hr. Employment Type: Contract, indefinite, with potential contract-to-hire Job Description: LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established Portland litigation firm seeking a Contract Attorney to support insurance defense matters. This role will assist with cases from intake through resolution, with the opportunity to take on more substantive responsibilities over time. This is a fully remote, part-time opportunity ideal for an experienced attorney looking for flexibility while remaining engaged in active litigation work. Responsibilities:
  • Assist with case intake, file review, and document review
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support active litigation matters
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and related legal documents
  • Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including discovery
  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel as needed
  • Manage assigned caseloads and meet deadlines
  • Take on additional substantive work as familiarity with the practice grows
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of litigation experience
  • Insurance defense experience is a plus but not required, training can be provided
  • Juris Doctor with an active Oregon Bar license
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work independently in a remote environment
  • Comfortable supporting multiple attorneys
