Job Description:

The Principal, Business Development will lead business development activities for LHX Processing and Data Storage solutions within the Military Avionics business division within the Airborne Solutions sector. In this role you will be responsible for shaping and leading customer interactions, strategy development, business development, market assessments, business case development, business capture, capture gating process, pipeline growth, business account management including S&M and B&P budgets, CRM management, and development of 1-yr, 3-yr and 5-yr business plans.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, refine and update business cases.
  • Develop capture plans, win strategies, and lead capture activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and leverage existing relationships with key customers and acquisition officials.
  • Lead, develop, and implement strategies for generating new customers.
  • Develop and maintain competitive intelligence and competitive landscape understanding to inform business development and capture efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral briefs to customers and senior executives.
  • Participate in IRAD process ensuring alignment of investment with business goals.
  • Manage CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database for cross-segment pursuits.
  • Develop strategic plans to advance business area objectives and promote revenue and profitability.
  • Provide warfighter perspective and operational briefings from OA (Operational Analysis) and M&S (Modeling & Simulation) SME material.
  • Lead CONOPS development and briefings in support of programs.
  • Evaluate new technologies while staying current on industry trends through a warfighter perspective.
  • Provide warfighter perspective internally and externally to fulfill customer expectations, increase program success, capture new programs, and expand business pipeline.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • F-35 and/or F-22 pilot experience
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
  • USAF acquisitions experience such as F-35/F-22 SPO, CCA (Collaborative Combat Aircraft), SAF/AQ, ACC A5/8
  • USAF Weapons School Graduate and/or OT&E (Operational Test & Evaluation) experience
  • Competent understanding of principles and theory of electronic warfare, RF, and sensing

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $146,000 - $271,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $126,500 - $235,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
