Summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Senior Principal, Solution Architect to lead Medicaid claims-related product domains as part of the transformation of our core adjudication products. This role is for a product leader who can combine deep Medicaid domain expertise, modern product management practices, and executive-level influence to shape platform strategy and turn complex payer and program needs into product direction.

The Product Manager, Principal will own domain strategy and outcomes across one or more claims-adjacent domains, including member, provider, benefits, clinical, and finance. The role will partner across product, engineering, architecture, operations, client-facing teams, and business stakeholders to modernize how Gainwell defines, builds, measures, and evolves core Medicaid capabilities.

Your role in our mission
  • Define portfolio-level product direction for Medicaid claims-related domains, connecting member, provider, benefits, clinical, and finance capabilities into a coherent transformation roadmap.
  • Shape enterprise product strategy for core adjudication modernization, including platform direction, domain boundaries, operating model implications, and investment priorities.
  • Lead cross-division alignment around product portfolio decisions, strategic tradeoffs, sequencing, and measurable transformation outcomes.
  • Assess the current product portfolio, workflows, domain dependencies, technical constraints, client needs, market forces, and Medicaid policy realities to identify the highest-value transformation opportunities.
  • Use portfolio frameworks, organizational assessments, product economics, data, and market insight to evaluate opportunities and guide executive decisions.
  • Partner with product, engineering, architecture, operations, delivery, client-facing, growth, and executive stakeholders to align strategy with scalable execution.
  • Set product standards and operating rhythms that strengthen discovery, prioritization, roadmapping, measurement, and decision quality across multiple product teams.
  • Influence enterprise transformation choices involving legacy capabilities, platform modernization, interoperability, data, automation, workflow redesign, and domain ownership.
  • Build clear narratives for executives and senior stakeholders, including portfolio direction, transformation rationale, investment tradeoffs, and progress against outcomes.
  • Provide thought leadership and coaching to product leaders and cross-functional partners, raising product maturity across the organization.
What we're looking for
  • Fifteen or more years of business solutions experience Experience working with company products and services, business processes and re-engineering.
  • Experience working with business environment, business industry and competitor products and services.
  • Experience modernizing claims adjudication, MMIS, health plan administration, benefits administration, or other core payer platforms at portfolio or enterprise scale.
  • Experience defining executive-level product metrics tied to operational efficiency, quality, accuracy, compliance, adoption, client outcomes, and financial performance.
  • Recognized thought leadership in Medicaid, payer technology, public-sector health programs, platform strategy, or enterprise product transformation.
  • Experience building AI products and use cases.

The pay range for this position is $138,800.00 - $198,300.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
