Remote Power Platform information

What is a Remote Power Platform job?

Remote Power Platform jobs involve working with Microsoft's Power Platform suite of tools—Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Virtual Agents—from a location outside of a traditional office setting. Professionals in these roles design, develop, and manage business solutions that automate processes, visualize data, and build applications without needing to be on-site. These positions are suited for those with experience in low-code/no-code platforms and require strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate virtually with teams and clients. Remote Power Platform roles are popular in industries seeking digital transformation and operational efficiency.

How does a Remote Power Platform professional typically collaborate with business stakeholders and development teams?

Remote Power Platform professionals often work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and related tools. Collaboration usually involves virtual meetings, demos, and feedback sessions using platforms like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. They also coordinate with development teams, IT, and end-users to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and integrate well with existing systems. Effective communication and documentation skills are essential for aligning project goals and resolving issues promptly in a remote setting.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Power Platform professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Power Platform professional, you need expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate), a background in data analysis or software development, and often a relevant certification such as Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals. Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Dataverse, Azure services, and connectors, as well as experience with DAX, Power Query, and APIs, is typically required. Strong problem-solving skills, effective remote communication, and a proactive approach to learning help you stand out in this role. These abilities ensure you can design, implement, and maintain efficient business solutions while collaborating effectively in a virtual environment.

Job description

Integration Developer – Integrations, Data & AI Solutions

Location: Pewaukee, WI / Hybrid or Remote Considered

Belong to the Boelter community that brings people together...

We value the individual where your unique perspective builds a stronger community and fuels our passion for authentic relationships.

Boelter is looking for an Intermediate Developer who is ready to help shape the next generation of business technology. This role is ideal for a creative, curious, and self-driven developer who enjoys solving practical business problems, integrating enterprise systems, and exploring how AI can make work faster, smarter, and more scalable.

As part of a strong and collaborative IT team, this person will work across key platforms including SAP, Microsoft Fabric, Cleo Integration Cloud for EDI, data warehouse solutions, and emerging AI-enabled tools. The work will focus on building reliable integrations, improving business processes, strengthening data flow across systems, and creating efficiency solutions that help Boelter associates serve customers better.

Why This Role Is Exciting
  • Be part of Boelter’s growing AI journey, where new ideas are being tested, piloted, and scaled into real business solutions.
  • Work with enterprise platforms that matter, including SAP, Microsoft Fabric, Cleo, EDI, data warehouse tools, and modern integration patterns.
  • Use AI not only as a personal productivity enhancer, but as a way to improve applications, automate manual work, and create better user experiences.
  • Join a team that values experimentation, practical problem solving, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Make a visible impact by helping simplify processes, improve data quality, reduce manual effort, and enable smarter decisions across the business.
What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, test, and support integrations between core business systems such as SAP, Microsoft Fabric, Cleo, EDI partners, data warehouse environments, and internal business applications.
  • Develop solutions that improve process efficiency, reduce manual work, and support cleaner, more reliable data movement across the enterprise.
  • Partner with business users, analysts, and other IT team members to understand needs, clarify requirements, and deliver practical technology solutions.
  • Support EDI and integration workflows, including troubleshooting data movement, monitoring failures, improving exception handling, and strengthening reliability.
  • Use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate development, improve documentation, support testing, analyze business processes, and identify automation opportunities.
  • Contribute to AI-enabled solution design, including agents, assistants, automation flows, data-driven recommendations, and productivity-enhancing tools.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, integration notes, support guides, and knowledge-sharing materials for the broader team.
  • Continuously learn new tools and approaches, bringing forward ideas that can improve how Boelter works and serves customers.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5+ years of professional software development, integration, data engineering, or business systems development experience.
  • Hands-on experience integrating enterprise systems, APIs, databases, middleware, EDI platforms, or business applications.
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP environments, including data flows, business processes, interfaces, or reporting needs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, data warehouse concepts, SQL, ETL/ELT patterns, or modern analytics platforms.
  • Experience with Cleo Integration Cloud, EDI, or similar integration tools is a plus.
  • Practical understanding of automation, workflow improvement, and process efficiency solutions.
  • Strong curiosity about AI tools and a demonstrated willingness to use them responsibly to improve personal productivity, development quality, documentation, testing, and solution design.
  • Creative problem solver who is comfortable asking questions, learning new systems, and turning business needs into reliable technical solutions.
  • Self-driven and accountable, with the ability to manage work independently while actively contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to business partners and teammates.
How You’ll Work

This role is designed for someone who thrives in a team-oriented environment but does not wait to be told what to do. You will have the opportunity to take ownership, explore new technologies, recommend better approaches, and help turn ideas into working solutions. We are looking for someone who brings energy, curiosity, and craftsmanship to the work—and who sees AI as both a tool for getting better individually and a platform for creating smarter business solutions.

Our Values

At Boelter, how we work matters as much as what we deliver. We look for team members who bring our values to life through their actions, decisions, and relationships.

  • Do What’s Right: Build solutions with integrity, reliability, security, and long-term business value in mind.
  • Own It: Take accountability for your work, follow through on commitments, and continuously look for ways to improve.
  • Make It Easy: Simplify processes, reduce friction, and create technology solutions that are practical and easy for associates and customers to use.
  • Win Together: Collaborate across IT and the business, share knowledge, and help others succeed.
  • Be Curious: Ask thoughtful questions, learn continuously, experiment with new tools, and explore how AI can unlock better ways of working.
Why Boelter

Boelter is investing in modern technology, better data, stronger integrations, and practical AI-enabled solutions that help our teams work smarter and serve customers better. This is a chance to join a company where technology is not just a support function it is a driver of innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

For a developer who wants to grow, learn, and contribute to meaningful transformation, this role offers the opportunity to work with enterprise platforms, influence how AI is applied in real business scenarios, and be part of a team that is building the future of work at Boelter.

Ideal Candidate Summary

The ideal candidate is an intermediate developer who combines technical capability with curiosity, initiative, and a strong desire to solve business problems. They are comfortable working with integration, data, EDI, and automation; excited by the potential of AI; and motivated by the opportunity to help create practical solutions that improve how people work every day.
