TEMPEST Practioner
Clearance: Must currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a CI polygraph after hire (if not before)
Location: Springfield, VA
Experience: Must have at least 7+ years experience in TEMPEST, Physical or Technical Security, or Facility Inspection related fields


Description: Sphinx TEMPEST practitioners perform TEMPEST Countermeasures Reviews, Visual TEMPEST Inspections (VTI), and TEMPEST technical inspections, assessments, evaluations and reviews

Responsibilities

- Assist the customer CTTA in executing the NGA TEMPEST program, analyzing requirements, implementing programs and processes for controlling or mitigating compromising emanations from customer equipment and facilities. Interpret security policy and regulations governing TEMPEST as they apply to customer facilities, systems and equipment.

- Provide advice and assistance to customers to ensure the collection of information required to facilitate the TEMPEST mission to include: building/floor drawings or schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, shielding, power systems, signal data and power line routing, HVAC ductwork and other utility wiring or piping.

- Perform TEMPEST Countermeasures Reviews, Visual TEMPEST Inspections (VTI), and TEMPEST technical inspections, assessments, evaluations and reviews.

- Ensure all required reports are complete with minimal errors and that all processes, activities, and reporting are conducted within established time frames.

- Ensure required TEMPEST reporting and annual training requirements are conducted and completed according to National Policy and the Customer Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA).


Required Qualifications
- Must currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a CI polygraph after hire (if not already held)
- Must be a self-motivated, disciplined, and mature professional capable of operating with little tasking and oversight
- Must be capable of operating within a diverse environment and comfortable operating with limited guidance and oversight, maturity and self-motivation required.
- Shall have at least 7 years' experience in TEMPEST, Physical or Technical Security, or Facility Inspection related fields

Desired Qualifications

- Possess the National TEMPEST School certifications for completion of TEMPEST Fundamentals and TEMPEST for System Installation and Facility Design courses

- Possess experience with facility accreditation inspections, shielding, grounding, and Protected Distribution Systems

- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline

- Be a credentialed graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy (ex. FBI Academy, etc.)

- Possess advanced TEMPEST training
