RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Draper, UT that is seeking a Director of Data Strategy and Insights to lead the organization's data strategy and analytics capabilities. This role is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive growth, efficiency, and innovation.
Summary:
The Director of Data Strategy and Insights will oversee advanced analytics initiatives, integrate global data sources, and guide a talented team of analysts and data scientists to deliver measurable business impact. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with technical depth, thrives on solving complex business challenges, and can communicate sophisticated data concepts clearly to executive audiences. This position requires a systems thinker who can build organizational alignment, foster a data-driven culture, and continuously explore emerging technologies in AI, ML, and cloud-based analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define and execute the enterprise analytics roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic business priorities
* Evaluate and implement advanced analytical methods-including AI and ML-to improve forecasting, decision-making, and operational outcomes
* Integrate and govern first-, second-, and third-party data to enhance customer insights and create a competitive advantage
* Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing analytics team, fostering a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and innovation
* Translate business questions into analytical projects and clearly communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Develop and maintain an intelligence layer and self-service analytics environment to empower business units across the organization
* Manage cross-functional projects, balancing scope, timelines, and resources to ensure high-quality delivery
* Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive leadership, IT, and business partners across global functions
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred
* 10+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science, with increasing scope and leadership responsibility
* 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional teams and budgets, including remote or matrixed resources
* Proven success leading enterprise-level analytics or insights functions in a complex, global organization
* Strong technical foundation in SQL, Python, and modern data modeling principles
* Expertise with visualization and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and experience developing scalable self-service analytics solutions
* Deep understanding of cloud-native data environments (Snowflake, Azure, AWS) and large-scale data integration
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and engage at all organizational levels
* Ability to travel, if needed
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
