What We're Looking For:

If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges and developing high-quality cloud-native software solutions in a collaborative engineering environment, then you will be excited about the Seniorย Cloudย DevSecOpsย Engineer opportunity with Iridium. As a Seniorย Cloudย DevSecOpsย Engineer, you will independently design, develop, test, andย maintainย cloud-based software applications and deployment infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems. In this role, you willย leverageย your technicalย expertiseย to implement secure, scalable, and automated cloud solutions, contribute to software architecture and deployment strategies, and collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver reliable software and infrastructure. You will thrive in this position if you are a self-starter who enjoys solving difficult technical problems, continuously learningย new technologies, and delivering high-quality solutions within an Agile development environment.ย 

This position requires an active/current Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).ย 

What You'll Do:
  • Independently design, develop, test, enhance, andย maintainย cloud-native software applications and supportingย cloud infrastructure and deployment platformsย ย 
  • Design, implement, andย optimizeย secure cloud architectures, application security controls, and deployment solutions supporting mission-critical applications.ย 
  • Build,ย maintain, and automate CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and containerized deployment environmentsย ย 
  • Collaborate with software, systems, operations, cybersecurity, and infrastructure engineers to integrate cloud-native solutions throughout the software development lifecycleย ย 
  • Support software integration, testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and sustainment activitiesย ย 
  • Build,ย maintain, and improve software build environments, automated testing, and deployment processes as appropriateย ย 
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum planning activities, sprint execution, backlog refinement, and software release planningย ย 
  • Maintainย accurateย project status, technical documentation, and issue tracking using approved development toolsย ย 
  • Follow established engineering processes including configuration management, change control, risk management, software quality, and secure development practicesย ย

  • Experience withย AWS EKS/Kubernetesย and automatedย container deploymentsย

  • Proficiencyย with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud servicesย ย

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office setting and is largely sedentary with the majority of the position working with a computer. The role typically requires the use of basic office equipment such as a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse, and printer.ย 

We believe in-person connection drives innovation, strengthens mentorship, and builds culture, while flexibility enables employees to do their best work. Under Iridium's Hybrid Work Policy, employees are expected to work at least four days per week (approximately 80%) in an Iridium office to support collaboration, relationship-building, and professional growth.

Base Pay Range: $120,000 - $160,000 USD

Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors and this range represents an estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Base salary is only one part of our compensation package for this role.ย You may also be eligible for company stock and annual bonus.
