Job description

Hire Resolve is assisting mining organizations in hiring experienced industrial minerals and chemical mining professionals across the United States. This multi-role opportunity spans mining/quarrying operations, processing plants, maintenance and reliability, projects, and HSE leadership. Roles are suitable for mid- to senior-level professionals with growth potential into Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager, and Site Leadership positions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead safe, efficient production across mining and processing operations (mine-to-plant integration where applicable)
  • Strengthen compliance with MSHA/OSHA requirements across plant and field environments
  • Optimize processing performance (throughput, yield/recovery, quality) using data-driven troubleshooting
  • Oversee maintenance and reliability programs for fixed plant equipment (conveyors, crushers, mills, dryers, pumps, instrumentation)
  • Drive continuous improvement (downtime reduction, energy efficiency, cost control, quality consistency)
  • Support projects, upgrades, turnarounds, and commissioning activities
  • Manage contractors/vendors and ensure safe execution of high-risk work
  • Maintain strong documentation and reporting for audits, inspections, and internal governance
  • Coach teams and implement standard work, training, and competency development

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Metallurgy/Mineral Processing, Industrial Engineering, Safety, or related discipline (or equivalent experience for certain leadership roles)
  • Typically 5-12+ years in industrial minerals, processing plants, or heavy industrial operations
  • Strong understanding of plant safety systems, work permits/LOTO practices, and incident prevention
  • Familiarity with CMMS (SAP/Maximo), process data systems, reliability tools, and KPI reporting
  • On-site readiness and flexibility for shift/rotation depending on site needs
