Job description

MUST HAVE: 3+ years of hands-on Media & Entertainment content production experience (broadcast, post-production, streaming, or studio environments). Candidates with only general IT help desk, call center, or non-M&E technical support experience will NOT be considered.


Our client is looking for Tier 1 Technical Support & Solutions Team who works in the Media & Entertainment industry, this is a fully remote public-facing team of polished media content workflow experts who work directly with our Media and Entertainment customers to resolve their issues through e-mail, chat, video call, and phone service. They work directly with our customers to identify and resolve issues and strive to provide an exceptional customer experience overall. We are specifically looking for candidates with a background in media content production who are eager to take their years of production knowledge and experience and apply it to supporting our customers. This is not a general technical support or IT help desk role — candidates whose experience is limited to standard/generic tech support, without direct Media & Entertainment production experience, will not be considered.


Reporting to the Technical Solutions & Services Manager, and working with the Engineering and Product teams, the main responsibilities of the Tier 1 Technical Solutions & Support Specialist is to assist with the facilitation of a best-in-class technical support experience to our customers by identifying and solving all support tickets for our line of media content workflow solution products. The candidate must be able to work during the hours of 9 AM EST - 6 PM EST, Monday - Friday.

Core Responsibilities:

● Utilize your media content production experience to provide technical support to customers through email, chat, and phone on browser-based and desktop applications, NLEs, servers, iOS applications, APIs, and third-party integrations

● Have a strong understanding of media content production workflows and be able to apply that knowledge to the usage of our SAAS and Hardware products

● Work alongside a cross-functional team to resolve customer issues within a timely manner

● Drive customer satisfaction through efficient and effective case communication & resolution

● Diagnose and replicate complex issues

● Meet all agent required metrics based on customer satisfaction scores and reply times

● Organizational management of assigned tickets

● Run onboarding meetings for Tier 3 SAAS customers

● Gather all necessary customer information and set up tickets for complex issues that should be transferred to Tier 2

● Contribute by creating effective customer learning tools and documentation in the clients brand voice

● Advocate for feature requests that meet the customer’s needs

● Assist with tickets for agents who are out of the office

● Work within a 24x7 support environment that requires a revolving On-Call schedule after hours

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on experience working in Media & Entertainment content production (broadcast, post-production, streaming, or studio environments) — general IT/help desk or call center technical support experience does NOT satisfy this requirement

● A strong understanding of content production workflows from Pre-Production to Post-Production

● Knowledge of major NLEs, VFX applications, and post-production pipelines

● Knowledge and experience with codecs, containers, and file metadata

● Active interest in the business of media, entertainment, and advertising

● Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously

● Experience identifying and classifying software and hardware issues

● Experience using remote support software to view, control, or manage remote servers and computers

● Experience using VPNS

● Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to quickly comprehend and communicate complex concepts

● Strong face to face communication skills with video conferencing software (Zoom or similar)

● Ability to participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support overnight and on the weekends

● Must be able to work during the hours of 9 AM EST - 6 PM EST Monday - Friday.

● Salary Range 55,000 -70,000 USD
