Founding Product Designer

Fort Lauderdale, FL • On-site, Remote

Full-time

Job description

About Fit: Match
Fit:Match develops Body AI technology spanning healthcare, sports, and retail. Our products, including the consumer QuadraScan applications and our clinical platform, apply body scanning and movement analysis to deliver precise, actionable insight. Our clinical work is conducted in partnership with a world-renowned orthopedic institution, and we hold ourselves to the standard that partnership demands.
Role Overview
Fit: Match is seeking a Founding Product Designer to serve as the company's first design hire and shape how patients and clinicians experience our products. The initial focus of this role is our clinical platform: a high-stakes application used by clinicians and patients alike, where design quality has a direct bearing on the quality of care. The scope of the role extends well beyond a single product - over the first year, this individual will define the visual language, design system, and UX standards across our entire Body AI portfolio, spanning healthcare, sports, and retail.
This is a Contract-to-Hire position.
Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end product design for a new clinical platform, encompassing patient onboarding, guided exercise sessions, real-time movement feedback, and post-session check-ins
  • Develop Fit:Match's first design system, beginning with the clinical product and extending to Quadrascan and the broader product portfolio
  • Establish the company's brand and visual identity in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Define the standard for clinical-grade user experience in a product that bridges hospital and home settings
  • Collaborate directly with the engineering team to specify, prototype, and ship product experiences as an embedded member of the development process
  • Partner with clinicians and patients throughout research and validation cycles
  • Make complex health data legible
  • Build and lead a design team as the function matures
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience
  • A portfolio demonstrating depth in mobile-first product design, particularly on iOS, with clear ownership of end-to-end user flows
  • Experience designing for regulated, safety-critical, or measurement-critical domains; healthcare experience is strongly preferred, though backgrounds in fintech, biometrics, automotive, or comparable fields will be considered
  • Demonstrated experience building or leading at least one design system from inception, beyond contributing to an established system
  • The ability to operate independently as a sole designer, exercising sound judgment with incomplete information
  • Strong product judgment complementing design craft, including the ability to evaluate features on the basis of user impact as well as visual coherence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience designing clinical, hospital, or telehealth products
  • Familiarity with 3D, spatial, or AR design; body scanning and movement tracking are central to our products, and thoughtful visual representation of the human body is core to the work
  • Brand and illustration capability, as this role will also shape the company's visual identity
  • Experience designing alongside ML/AI-driven features, particularly in presenting probabilistic output in a clear and trustworthy manner
