Single Pathway Psychiatry is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor, specializing in mood disorders, to join our esteemed outpatient practice located in Augusta, Georgia. This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to provide essential therapeutic services to our clients from the comfort of your home while also having the opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team of professionals.

Work EnvironmentOur remote work environment fosters a culture of collaboration and support, promoting open communication and teamwork. Working hours are typically Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotational basis to accommodate our clients’ needs. Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day-involvement will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, focusing on the severity, frequency, and duration of these symptoms.
- Collaborating with clients to craft individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
- Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders.
- Educating clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment methodologies, and self-care strategies to foster autonomy and understanding.
- Regularly monitoring and documenting clients' progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to their treatment plans based on ongoing assessments.
- Working alongside psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care, coordinating effectively around psychopharmacological treatments when applicable.
- Keeping abreast of the latest research and best practices in mood disorders to inform treatment strategies and improve client outcomes.
- Maintaining detailed and confidential records of all client sessions and assessments in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Engaging in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Actively advocating for clients, working to de-stigmatize mental health issues related to mood disorders and ensuring their needs are effectively represented.
Our primary focus is on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
- Strong foundational knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.
- Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport with a diverse client base.
While not mandatory, candidates with the following qualifications will stand out:
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience with a focus on mood disorders.
- A demonstrated record of delivering positive treatment outcomes for clients struggling with mood disorders.
- A strong understanding of psychopharmacology as it relates to psychiatric treatment and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists.
