Maricopa Counseling, LLC is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist dedicated to providing specialized mental health care primarily to individuals affected by trauma. This position is fully remote, utilizing telehealth to deliver services, allowing both flexibility for our therapists and comfort for our patients. • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and develop appropriate evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans focused on restoring mental health and rebuilding resilience.
• Provide a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including modalities like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions tailored to help patients process their trauma, develop healthy coping strategies, and guide them toward healing.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to deliver integrated, holistic care.
• Respond to trauma-related emergencies with critical care and support.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, potential coping mechanisms, and available resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records adhering to all legal and ethical standards in patient care.
• Engage in case consultations, continual training, and team meetings to uphold our trauma-informed care philosophy.
• Stay consistently updated with current research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance the quality of care delivered.

This role primarily focuses on serving individuals who have suffered from trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and related disorders. Our therapeutic approaches recognize the unique narratives and experiences of each patient, creating a tailored therapeutic environment that respects their journey toward recovery.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT within the state of Nevada.
• Exceptional knowledge of trauma-related disorders, including advanced proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, underscored by a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.
• Proficient use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, with a focus on trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to remain composed in high-stress situations, providing effective crisis intervention.
• A history of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients.
