As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Lakeview Behavioral Health, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to accurately evaluate clients' mental health histories and determine suitable treatment paths.
• Designing and implementing customized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and resilience-building for individual patients.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in both individual and group therapy formats.
• Facilitating therapeutic sessions that address coping strategies, trauma processing, and emotional regulation for clients.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to provide integrated care tailored to each patient's needs.
• Providing immediate crisis intervention for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring they receive timely support.
• Educating clients and their families on trauma responses and available therapeutic resources to enhance understanding and involvement in the recovery process.
• Maintaining meticulous and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, employing electronic health records (EHR) systems effectively.
• Participating in regular case consultations, professional development activities, and team meetings that concentrate on trauma-informed care best practices.
• Staying informed about current research and emerging methodologies in trauma therapy to continuously improve therapeutic practices.

Our primary focus is on serving a diverse clientele affected by trauma, including those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. To be considered for this position, applicants must hold:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Nevada.

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates with a strong foundation in trauma-informed care, familiarity with therapeutic modalities targeting trauma, and evidence of successful clinical outcomes will be prioritized. Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential attributes for success in this role.
