Job description

The Account Executive - Mechanical Contractors is responsible for developing sales opportunities at the mechanical contractor for both GF-Industry & Infrastructure and GF Building Flow Solutions polymer piping systems. This role will collaborate with both GF-Industry & Infrastructure and GF Building Flow Solutions sales organizations, regional manufacturer's representatives, and the regional commercial business teams to identify, develop, and close mechanical contractors project utilizing polymer piping systems. These mechanical contractors will likely include both current GF-I&I & GF-BFS customers as well as new customers, who are receptive to polymer piping systems, and are supported by a professional construction services team and backed by an integrated warranty.
The Account Executive - Mechanical Contractors will possess strong technical and interpersonal skills and be proficient in both conveying the value proposition of an industry leader to uniquely meet customer and project needs and requirements. This role will quickly become a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for the mechanical contractors that they will call on.
This is a fully REMOTE position with the ideal candidate located in the Dallas market.
What you will be doing
  • Achieve annual sales goals through individual sales efforts and identify and develop prospects for polymer piping systems (plumbing, mechanical, and/or industrial), working with GF sales colleagues, manufacturers' reps and the GF-BFS regional commercial business team(s)
  • Develops and delivers effective sales presentations
  • Coordinates product and installation training as necessary to support sales objectives
  • Coordinates with GF's construction services team to develop integrated system designs
  • Tracks progress using Microsoft Dynamics and defined sales key performance indicators (KPI's)
  • Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives; performs other duties as may be assigned

What you will need
  • This position requires a Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years' related experience.
  • Successful experience in major account selling and the construction market is required.
  • Must have excellent communication, planning and presentation skills.
  • Must be self-starter (entrepreneurial), strategically focused, goal oriented, and take initiative to achieve objectives
  • Must be innovative and forward thinking - have comfort with details; but ability to think broadly
  • Ability to travel up to 50% monthly.
  • Preferred location: Texas

  • Experience in selling large scale projects and cross communicating across business units.
