Your Impact
As a Sales Account Manager, Industrial Specialties, you will play a vital role in cultivating productive and mutually beneficial relationships with customers in a specific territory in the industrial specialties market. Your efforts will directly contribute to our company’s success by helping the company grow profits and relationships with customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop long-term, productive relationships with current Industrial Specialties customers by understanding their business needs and seeking to address their challenges.
- Ensure that the customer views the Company as trusted partner and problem-solver enabling business retention and growth.
- Leverage market knowledge to seek opportunities for new business development. Identify unmet needs, prioritize opportunities and partner within the organization to support growth opportunities.
- Establish (and follow) a rigorous process for following up on new leads, pursuing new lines of inquiry, etc.
- Understand Industrial Specialties market trends and competitive environment in our market segments.
- Provide market and customer feedback to all internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required; Scientific discipline preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience across sales and customer facing roles within US specialty chemical distribution market.
- Previous experience managing key Principals and developing/working within an opportunity pipeline.
- Experience in polymer science helpful.
- Demonstrated expertise in general knowledge of the industrial specialties consumer and marketplace trends.
- Strong understanding of working in opportunity pipeline and CRM systems.
- Excellent communication and selling skills.
- A proactive, results-driven approach with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
