Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will:

  • Engage in compassionate counseling sessions via secure video chat technology, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clientsโ€™ mental health needs to inform personalized treatment plans aimed at promoting their wellbeing.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to help clients develop essential skills for coping, problem-solving, and effective communication.

You will primarily serve a population of stable, low-acuity adults who may be experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges. This includes individuals seeking coping strategies for anxiety, stress management, and life transitions. Your role will facilitate their engagement in proactive mental health care and empower them to take control of their emotional development.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, candidates must possess:

  • A masterโ€™s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • A current and active state license in one of the following: LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or PsyD.
  • Independent licensure with no supervisory requirements, confirming your capability to practice autonomously.
  • A clean disciplinary record to reassure our clients of the ethical standards we uphold.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with proficiency in using technology and digital counseling tools.
  • Reliable and stable internet connectivity to ensure consistent client interactions.
Preferred Experience

While not required, experience with teletherapy platforms, knowledge of various therapeutic techniques, and previous work with adult mental health populations will be advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will also enhance your effectiveness in managing client documents.
