Growth Marketing Lead - Lifecycle & Conversion

Sage Haus

Job description

About Sage Haus
Sage Haus is the only nationwide placement service dedicated exclusively to matching house managers with busy households. Our founder and CEO, Kelly Hubbell, started Sage Haus after she hired her own house manager and realized the mental load she'd been carrying wasn't a personal failing. It was a structural gap.
Three years in, we're a bootstrapped, growing with a team of 35, placing house managers, family assistants, and meal-prep chefs with hundreds of new families every month across the US and Canada.
We're not just filling a niche.
We're building a category.
About the Role
We're hiring a Growth Marketer to own the conversion engine at Sage Haus.
You'll own the through-line with sales to make sure every email, every SMS, every outbound touch, and every page on our site is doing real work to move people from interest to action.
Day one, you'll own our lifecycle: email, SMS, at scale. You'll audit what we have, fix what's leaking, and build the sequences that turn warm leads into placed families and recruited candidates. You'll also collaborate on funnel optimization across the site - landing pages, lead forms, conversion architecture - so the messaging and the destination are pulling in the same direction.
Over time, this role grows into the measurement function for the entire growth engine - the dashboards that tell us what's working, what to invest in, and what to cut.
This role is for the marketer who reads open rates the way some people read poetry. Who can name three things they'd test on a landing page after looking at it for 30 seconds. Who may have run a LinkedIn outbound campaign at scale and lived to tell about it.
First 90 Days
Concrete outcomes you'll own in your first three months: audit our current lifecycle (email + SMS) for families and ship a fix on the highest-impact drop-off; relaunch our nurture sequences with clear conversion targets per stage; stand up an outbound automation experiment with measurable connection-to-conversation rates; build a lifecycle and funnel dashboard the leadership team can actually read; document the full lifecycle architecture so the team can understand what's running and why.
What You'll Own
Email & SMS Lifecycle
  • Owning lifecycle for both audiences: families (lead → info call → kick-off → placement) and candidates (apply → vet → place → retain)
  • Building, testing, and iterating sequences across email and SMS
  • Managing the lifecycle stack (Flodesk, our SMS provider, and whatever else we adopt as we scale)
  • Owning the metrics: open rate, click rate, conversion, revenue per send

Outbound at Scale
  • Designing and running outbound automation that flexes between volume and personalization
  • Managing the tooling
  • Building targeting, scripts, and sequencing that convert without burning the channel
  • Reporting on connection-to-conversation rates and what to optimize

Funnel Optimization & CRO
  • Partnering across functions to optimize the full funnel - landing pages, lead forms, conversion architecture
  • Identifying drop-offs and proposing the test that closes them
  • Measuring the impact and iterating

Measurement & Reporting
  • Standing up the dashboards that tell us what's working - lifecycle, funnel, attribution
  • Reporting back to the team on weekly/monthly performance
  • Surfacing insights that change what we invest in next

You're a Great Fit If...
  • You've owned lifecycle marketing at a startup and can show real revenue or conversion impact
  • You're equally comfortable in email, SMS, and outbound - and know when to use which
  • You have hands-on experience with outbound automation tools (
  • You think in funnels - you can look at a conversion path and see where the leak is
  • You're a strong writer who can ghostwrite in someone else's voice without flattening it
  • You're fluent with AI tooling - you use it to scale personalization and analysis
  • You're data-fluent - you can build a dashboard, read it, and explain it to a non-marketer
  • Specific tooling experience (Flodesk, Klaviyo, Customer.io, Smartlead, Clay, GA4) is a plus - but learning speed matters more

Role Details
  • Location: Fully Remote, US-based
  • Schedule: 30 hrs/wk (1099 contract with potential for W2)
  • Compensation: $5,000-6,000 / month (30 hours / week)
  • Reports To: Nelson Boyd, VP Growth Marketing
  • Start Date: ASAP

Why Sage Haus
  • We're building the category in home systems and household staffing - not just filling roles
  • Founder- and parent-led - we live the problem we solve
  • A tight-knit, fully remote team of 35
  • A leadership team that values initiative, ownership, and ideas from every seat
  • Real growth runway - this role scales with the company
